What is this?
Endless chats on a dating app. Then finally you go on a Tinder date with the most promising one and realize it's not a match at all. Online it seemed like you had a lot in common, but turns out - he's got a wife or she's got a husband, and they don't even like kayaking, just sitting by the TV with a beer and chips - another waste of time, so you delete yourself from that stupid Tinder. Until, after some time, this app boomerangs back into your phone, giving it yet another chance - you fill out the profile, expand the radius to catch some fresh meat, upload prettier pictures, and the vicious cycle returns. You're back on Tinder, only to delete yourself after countless dates and start all over again.
That's why we have an offer for active free spirits to meet in an active event in nature. We'll be free guys and gals aged from 25 to 40, spending the day canoeing and getting to know each other, and in the evening we'll chill at a cozy campsite by the campfire, watching outdoor movies with forest popcorn, soaking in the tub, and having a little party together. It'll be our little forest festival. Even if you don't find your other half at this event, you'll have spent an active weekend with awesome people and made a dozen good friends.
In two days, we'll be paddling down the Northern Gauja. It's a completely different Gauja than the one you've often kayaked. No crowds of paddlers here, just pure tranquility. Our route will take us from the Aņņu Bridge to the P24 Bridge. That's about 24 kilometers of pure nature therapy. Here, romance and peace aren't forced upon you; they simply flow into you with the river's current. On the first day, we'll leisurely cover 15km, while on the second day, we'll leave just a calm 9km of enjoyment. Here in the Northern Gauja, the banks are surrounded by untouched pine forests and mighty sand dunes. A trip for those who want to paddle slowly, breathe deeply, and savor every bend of the river.
We'll be spending the night in the wild, but with a touch of comfort at a well-equipped paddlers' camp with a hot tub, open-air forest cinema, campfire, and campfire soup that tastes like "give me more, please?". This isn't the place to seek perfection. This is where you just meet cool people and realize – yeah, you can make awesome connections with paddles in hand. No WiFi, but with a boat.
4 reasons to join:
- Chance to find your great love of a lifetime
- Outdoor cinema and forest popcorn
- Hot tub by the river
- Canoeing by day, party by night

What is the approximate plan?
1. diena
You arrive at Paddle Tinder with your car or with a group buddy we've arranged in the Adventure WhatsApp group. At the Paddle Tinder meeting point Aņņi (Google map / Waze), the gear and group leader are already waiting for you. We meet here at 11:00, and once everyone is present, but we've politely waited 5 minutes for any latecomers, we can start organizing part of the group's car transfer to the finish line, aka logistics. Once logistics are "DONE," the group leader gives a brief but valuable briefing on paddling and water safety.
We hop into the boats and pair up in twos - guys with girls and girls with guys. Get-to-know-you moments, picnic breaks, chatter, splashes, and the river. After a fun-filled day and a few hours of leisurely paddling, we land on the shore, set up camp, light a bonfire, heat the tub, cook soup, and enjoy the evening at a forest party with outdoor cinema and forest popcorn. And after that? Often, dancing. Our little forest festival. A night in a well-equipped campsite by the river.
2. diena
In the morning we get up and paddle further. Today again, leisurely remaining kilometers and a few chill hours with picnics, chats, and joy. In the afternoon, we finish and our awesome paddling holiday comes to an end, heading home and back to our daily routines. The adventure wraps up when we finish, but roughly it could be no later than around 16:00. The cool holidays have passed, new friends met to hang out with, maybe even the love of your life to paddle through life with, not just on paddling Adventures, or simply a smile from ear to ear for no reason. See you next time.
The plan is just a rough outline and there might be changes, but overall it will be as described above.
How does the paddling Adventure work?
The Paddle Adventure happens with boats, meaning it's a boating adventure where we paddle along some cool route. Our boats are designed for 2 people, so they're two-seaters. You can stretch your legs, have a sandwich, chill out, and enjoy the ride.
We carry all the gear needed for the adventure ourselves with the boats, and there's plenty of space in them. Of course, there's only enough space if the amount is within reason, not if you've packed a toaster, hairdryer, washing machine, and grandma's hope chest. In that case, you'll have to think about what you'll leave on the shore.
Before the Adventure, we meet at the pre-arranged spot and organize car shuttling to the end, where they wait for us when we finish the Adventure. You can totally go on this Adventure solo or with one of your group buddies. You can find more info about the logistics in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of this Adventure.
What else should I know?
If you're inclined to whine and be grumpy about little things, then this won't be the right Adventure, as it spoils both the group's microclimate and the mood of other group members. That's why we want to see positive adventurers on our Adventures. The group leader won't "babysit" the picky folks but will simply ignore them to focus on those who want to enjoy the Adventure. The group is small, which usually turns into a very friendly company, so it's not the right place for those who want to "pick fights."

Frequently asked questions:
1. What do I need to bring?
The most important thing is to have an amazing spirit and a desire to have a great time. Everything else is secondary - we'll be camping in nature, not staying in a guest house or cabin, so you'll need a tent, sleeping bag, and mat. If you don't have your own tent or sleeping bag, we can provide one for a fair fee of 15 euros. You'll also need clothing suitable for the activity and weather. No special gear is necessary, but something sporty so you feel free and comfortable on the Adventure. You'll definitely need a swimsuit or swim trunks, a towel, some snacks, and something to drink to quench your thirst. Bring a small backpack to pack your sandwiches, tea, water, and maybe a little something to warm you up. And, of course, something to eat for dinner. Ideally, you should pack your stuff in a waterproof bag, but if you don't have one, you can always use a big trash bag and tie the end. Don't overpack, as we'll be taking everything with us on the water.
2. How do we get to the Adventure and back?
Getting to the Adventure start is with your own private transport. If you don't have your own private transport, it's possible to team up and go with other participants of this event. Before the Adventure, we'll try to organize and help so those who drive with their own transport can pick up those who don't, as this way it's possible to share fuel costs (win-win). If this option doesn't suit you, it's possible to go by public transport.
3. Can we bring dogs?
Although we really like dogs ourselves, unfortunately, this event is not suitable for pets. We understand he's friendly, gives a paw, cleans up after himself, rolls the tastiest sushi, and gives the best massages, but no means no.
4. How to sign up for an Adventure?
You can sign up for the trip on our website by clicking the "SIGN UP" button and filling out the application form located under the Adventure description. Since there are many interested, but not all are actual travelers, an advance payment is required to confirm participation in the Adventure. The amount of the advance payment depends on the specific Adventure. By paying this advance, your spot in the Adventure is confirmed. If you cancel your participation in the Adventure, the advance payment is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to confirm participation in another trip.
5. How long can I think about it if I want to sign up?
You can think about it as long as there are spots available. After that, you can keep thinking, but there won't be any spots left on the trip.
6. Signed up, what's next?
After signing up, note and reserve these dates for yourself, and slowly start preparing. A few days before the Adventure start date, usually at the beginning of that week, but no later than 4-5 days before, you'll receive an informational email with the meeting time and other important "what / where / when" info regarding the Adventure.
7. How does the contract signing happen?
There's no physical contract signing. When signing up for an Adventure, after filling out the application form and before making the payment, you can check out the Adventure contract and save it if needed. Paying the advance invoice confirms this particular Adventure contract.
8. Is it possible to sign the contract in person?
No, it's not possible, because we VERY often find ourselves on adventures outside of Latvia (check the Adventure list on our website). Occasionally, between Adventures, you can catch us in Cēsis.
9. Is there anything else important?
The trip's vibe and awesomeness largely depend on the travelers themselves, so if you like to stir up trouble or "mess with the minds" of the organizers and other trip participants, then this trip isn't for you. We've had a couple of grumpy ladies before who annoyed everyone, so if you can't control your mood – DON'T COME! The group leader is ALWAYS right (even if they're not), so if you've decided to join, you'll have to listen to them.
Payment terms:
• Deposit payment 70EUR (per person) to reserve your spot upon booking.
Since we receive A LOT of applications but not all turn into actual bookings, your spot is only confirmed and reserved after the deposit is paid.
Age restrictions:
• Minimum Participant age 25 years.
• Maximum Participant age 40 years.
