What is this?

When it feels like all the rivers have been paddled and everything's been seen, we pull out the map, look north, and say, “Time to head to Estonia.” Not for Peipus herring or Tartu's culture, but for the Ahja River – one of the most beautiful rivers that Estonia keeps as a hidden treasure. Sandstone cliffs, forest tunnels, and such peace that even your phone stops vibrating.

We'll SUP for two days covering a total of 16km. First, 12km on the first day, then another 4km on the second day, but this isn't a “distance challenge,” more like a slow travel version with a paddle in hand. We'll camp right by the river, where the evening means not screens, but a live fire, soup, other treats, and conversations that arise as naturally as the morning mist over the water.

And yes, this won't be your classic canoeing or SUP trip, but an Adventure with feelings and sights that make you want to say: “Okay, I didn't expect this.” Perfect for anyone who wants summer to be not just warm, but unforgettable.

No one to go with? Often you want to head out for some active fun, but there's no one to join you—friends have other plans, family is busy, and your partner isn't really into it. So feel free to join solo. In our Adventures, you won't feel alone because everyone's on the same path, giving you the chance to have a great time not only in nature but also meeting new people.

Never tried SUP? This Adventure is perfect even for total beginners and those who've never tried SUP, so don't worry. It's okay if you've never SUPed or tried but didn't succeed. We'll show you everything, explain it all, and keep an eye on you during the Adventure. Plus, for your safety on the water, a life jacket will take care of you.

5 reasons to join:

  1. A really beautiful route right here in Estonia
  2. Suitable for complete beginners
  3. Slowly enjoying without rushing
  4. Weekend getaway abroad
  5. Awesome people and cool company

What is the approximate plan?

  • 1. diena

We're all heading out on an Adventure together in a van, meeting at Cēsis Railway Station (Google map / Waze), where we meet at 07:30. You can get there with your own car and park for free or use public transport, which we've timed perfectly. We meet up, wait a cool 5 minutes for any latecomers, then hop in the van and hit the road.

After 2.5h, we're at the starting point of our SUP Adventure and ready to roll. We jump on the SUP boards and go. Day one's plan is to SUP for 12km. You don't need mad skills to SUP since we mostly do it sitting or kneeling, but if you're feeling a bit more advanced, you can stand up too. Lots of chats, stunning views along the way, a swim for the brave ones, and it's all good. By afternoon, we finish at a nature campsite, light a campfire, cook soup, grill sausages, set up camp with tents, and have an amazing evening by the river. It's cool and fun.

Morning coffee and delicious breakfast porridge sitting by the riverbank. A fantastic combo to start the day and continue the SUP Adventure. Today we only have 4km left, so we're taking it slow, chatting, sunbathing, and leisurely SUP-ing. The adventure's end time is unpredictable, but roughly after the return trip, it could be around 18:30, so we can all head back to our daily routines. New acquaintances, new friends, and a great time spent.

How does a SUP Adventure happen?

The SUP Adventure happens with SUP boards, meaning it's a paddleboarding Adventure where we paddle along a cool route. Our SUP boards are each designed for 1 person, meaning they're single-seaters. On some SUPs, there can be 2 people, meaning they're double-seaters, but in such cases, you must contact us BEFORE signing up for the Adventure, as their number is VERY limited.

We each carry all the gear needed for the adventure on our own SUP board, and there's plenty of space on it. Of course, there's only enough space if the amount is reasonable, not if you've brought a toaster, hairdryer, washing machine, and grandma's hope chest. In that case, you'll need to think about what to leave on the shore.

Before the Adventure, we meet at the pre-arranged spot and organize car shuttling to the end, where they wait for us when we finish the Adventure. You can totally go on this Adventure solo or with one of your group buddies. You can find more info about the logistics in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of this Adventure.

Where will we sleep?

On the SUP trip, we'll be staying at a million-star hotel called a tent – how comfortable, clean, or fragrant it is depends entirely on you. After a day full of emotions and exhaustion, you'll have the sweetest sleep and the most colorful dreams. To enjoy as much nature as possible and make the Adventure more exciting and a bit wilder, we'll be looking for and setting up campsites in the wild or out in the open.

Everyone needs to take care of their own tent and sleeping gear, but if you don't have your own tent, don't worry, because you can always find someone who's also solo and would be happy to team up. But if you don't want to hassle, we can provide you with a sleeping gear set (tent, mat, sleeping bag) for this event for a symbolic fee of 15eur.

How did we do before?

Who will be the group leader?

The leader of this Adventure group and your companion will be Adventure Maker Raimonds. This means you'll have a hand to hold while climbing a mountain, a shoulder to lean on before a daring thrill, or a buddy to hit up local parties with. Those who've been on an Adventure with him know you'll head where you probably shouldn't, do things you probably shouldn't do, and it'll be awesome - it'll be ADVENTURES.

What else should I know?

If you're inclined to whine and be grumpy about little things, then this won't be the right Adventure, as it spoils both the group's microclimate and the mood of other group members. That's why we want to see positive adventurers on our Adventures. The group leader won't "babysit" the picky folks but will simply ignore them to focus on those who want to enjoy the Adventure. The group is small, which usually turns into a very friendly company, so it's not the right place for those who want to "pick fights."

We also recommend checking out the frequently asked questions.

Frequently asked questions:

  • 1. What do I need to bring?

The most important thing is to have an amazing spirit and a desire to have a great time. Everything else is secondary - we'll be camping in nature, not staying in a guest house or cabin, so you'll need a tent, sleeping bag, and mat. If you don't have your own tent or sleeping bag, we can provide one for a fair fee of 15 euros. You'll also need clothing suitable for the activity and weather. No special gear is necessary, but something sporty so you feel free and comfortable on the Adventure. You'll definitely need a swimsuit or swim trunks, a towel, some snacks, and something to drink to quench your thirst. Bring a small backpack to pack your sandwiches, tea, water, and maybe a little something to warm you up. And, of course, something to eat for dinner. Ideally, you should pack your stuff in a waterproof bag, but if you don't have one, you can always use a big trash bag and tie the end. Don't overpack, as we'll be taking everything with us on the water.

  • 2. Can beginners join the activity?

The SUP Adventure is meant for everyone - both those who paddle with a SUP board from morning till night, and those who've never done it before. We'll show, explain, and teach everything.

  • 3. Are there any height and weight restrictions?

Our SUPs have a limited capacity, so the weight limit is 120kg. There are no height restrictions, at least we haven't noticed it being important.

  • 4. Can I go alone?

You can definitely join by yourself. On the contrary, many people go solo and in that case, you'll have the chance to meet new friends or maybe even find your other half 😉

  • 5. Can I join with my own personal SUP board?

You can definitely join us with your own personal SUP board, in that case, the Adventure price will be 60EUR, but send us a private message so we can sort out all the details.

  • 6. How do I sign up if I want to participate with my own personal SUP board?

Currently, it's not possible to sign up on our website if you're not using the full package, so drop us a message via email or WhatsApp and we'll sort it out.

  • 7. How to sign up for an Adventure?

You can sign up for the trip on our website by clicking the "SIGN UP" button and filling out the application form located under the Adventure description. Since there are many interested, but not all are actual travelers, an advance payment is required to confirm participation in the Adventure. The amount of the advance payment depends on the specific Adventure. By paying this advance, your spot in the Adventure is confirmed. If you cancel your participation in the Adventure, the advance payment is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to confirm participation in another trip.

  • 8. How long can I think about it if I want to sign up?

You can think about it as long as there are spots available. After that, you can keep thinking, but there won't be any spots left on the trip.

  • 9. Signed up, what's next?

After signing up, note and reserve these dates for yourself, and slowly start preparing. A few days before the Adventure start date, usually at the beginning of that week, but no later than 4-5 days before, you'll receive an informational email with the meeting time and other important "what / where / when" info regarding the Adventure.

  • 10. Is there anything else important?

The trip's vibe and awesomeness largely depend on the travelers themselves, so if you like to stir up trouble or "mess with the minds" of the organizers and other trip participants, then this trip isn't for you. We've had a couple of grumpy ladies before who annoyed everyone, so if you can't control your mood – DON'T COME! The group leader is ALWAYS right (even if they're not), so if you've decided to join, you'll have to listen to them.

Payment terms:

• Deposit payment 45EUR (per person) to reserve your spot upon booking.

• Pilns atlikušais maksājums must be paid no later than 14 days before the adventure start date.

Since we receive A LOT of applications but not all turn into actual bookings, your spot is only confirmed and reserved after the deposit is paid.

Age restrictions:

• Minimum recommended Participant age 10 years.

• No maximum age limit for participants.

How much does it cost?

The entry fee for this fantastic Adventure is 95 EUR. As the event date approaches, the price might go up and the number of spots is VERY limited, so don't wait until the last minute to sign up 😉
